From a Tight Budget to Stardom
In 1976, Bacon moved from Philadelphia to New York with only $150 to his name for the entire month. He found a place at a flophouse meant for artists, actors, and musicians. Despite the challenging living situation, Bacon’s acting career took off, changing his life for the better.
Love at First Sight
While working on the movie “Lemon Sky” in 1987, Bacon met Kyra Sedgwick. It was love at first sight for Bacon, although Sedgwick was not initially smitten. However, Bacon’s persistence paid off, and they eventually went on their first date, laughing for hours over a romantic dinner. They have been each other’s biggest support and fans ever since.
A Joyful Family
Together, Bacon and Sedgwick raised two children, Travis and Sosie, who are now in their 30s. Bacon found immense joy in being a father and always tried to instill honesty, integrity, and care for the world and one another in his children. His sense of humor is one of his greatest assets, making him very funny indeed.
