On the day Jack believed Nikkie was undergoing surgery, she instead pampered herself at a spa and replaced the locks on their home. When she returned, Jack found his belongings packed and the locks changed. Nikkie handed him the envelope with the remaining money and told him that it was his “upgrade” and that it was time for him to find someone who met his standards.
Jack was initially confused and regretful, pleading with Nikkie to give him another chance. Despite his apologies and promises to change, Nikkie stood firm. She explained that he had been in love with a distorted version of her and that she deserved to be loved for who she truly was.
